2020 Photo Treasure Hunt (NSW)

NALAG NSW is pleased to be hosting it's annual 'Photo Treasure Hunt'! This year, the competition will be hosted online and participants will be able to download their Entry Pack, upload their photos and watch the judging presentation - all from the comfort of your home! All Australian residents are welcome to join the hunt - all you need is a device capable of taking digital photos and you can be in with a chance to win a share of over $600 worth of prizes!

Become a Seasons for Growth Companion (facilitator) at this two day training course in Dubbo. Engage in the theory and principles underpinning Seasons for Growth, experience the contact and learn strategies for implementation.
Bereavement Support Group (Taree)
These sessions will be held online until further notice.
The Taree Bereavement Support Group meets on the second Tuesday of every month. It is an open group, facilitated by an experienced Counsellor, and suitable for anyone who has suffered the death of a loved one. Participating in a bereavement support group can help you to normalise the grief journey and reduce feelings of isolation as you listen and share personal experiences with others.

Group sessions to support children and young people (6-13yrs) experiencing loss. Seasons for Growth, developed by Good Grief, incorporates a wide range of age-appropriate activities involving drawing, role-play, stories, discussion, playdough, music and journal activities.
Promoting Resilience in Older People Workshop (North Sydney)

What makes older people resilient? Why are some people ageing with a great sense of freedom and others with a sense of despair? This one-day workshop - based on a strength-based approach - will explore these questions and identify strategies that promote a culture of resilience as you provide support for older people. The workshop presenter, Beate Steller, will share her extensive knowledge, clinical experience and practical approaches and methods throughout the day including the Tech – Connect – Staying Meaningfully Connected in Aged Care program that she developed.
Farm First Aid Training (Curban)
Develop skills and improve the safety of your farm or rural workplace by enrolling in this FREE, one-day First Aid training course suited to primary producers and farm workers, delivered by an accredited Red Cross Trainer. Registration essential!

NALAG NSW will host a remembrance ceremony on Thursday 15 October 2020 at NALAG Dubbo to commemorate all the special little lives lost too soon. Attendees will have an opportunity to light a commemorative candle in memory of loved ones and pay a visit to the ‘Babies Garden’, followed by light refreshments at twilight.
