About the Workshop: This workshop will integrate the disciplines of bereavement, grief and loss and complex trauma counselling. The therapeutic principles relevant to each discipline will be explored.

 

Participants will take away an integrated knowledge base that will enable them to move seamlessly between bereavement, grief and loss counselling and complex trauma counselling.  

 

Learning Outcomes:

  • Understand the compounding impacts of complex trauma on bereavement, grief and loss.

  • Integrate bereavement, grief and loss principles and practices with complex trauma knowledge, principles and practices.

  • Feel confident in addressing increasingly complex cases of bereavement, grief and loss.

  • Explore holistic and creative counselling principles and practices in addressing complex grief, bereavement and loss.

  • Engage in further continuing professional development on the impacts of complex trauma throughout the lifespan.  

This workshop is suited to anyone working in and/or interested in Grief, Loss and Trauma.

Workshop Presenter

Philip is a registered psychologist with 25 years counselling and mental health experience.

His clinical training and interest is in the assessment and treatment of addictions and mental health issues that stem from complex trauma.

He has trained in Gestalt, Hakomi, Sensorimotor and Trauma Model therapies and currently works in private practice, where he offers counselling, clinical supervision and training.
