for Loss & Grief, Dubbo
The NALAG Centre for Loss & Grief Dubbo was established
in 1992 following donation of a building by the
Citizen's Radio Emergency Service Team (CREST).
The NALAG Centre in Dubbo is the Head Office for the
NALAG (NSW) Inc Association.
Currently funded by the NSW Health Drug and Alcohol, the
Centre has 2 fulltime and 2 part time staff together
with 60 dedicated volunteers.
Our Grief Support Services
The NALAG Centre for Loss and Grief provides free
individual face to face grief support by trained
volunteers for adults and children who are grieving
following a loss.
In certain circumstances we can also offer individual
face to face grief counselling by a registered
psychologist.
Appointments are essential
and are by prior arrangement only. The NALAG Centre is
not a crisis centre and all emergencies should be
directed to the appropriate agency or to the outpatient
unit of your local Hospital.
The NALAG Centre
outreaches to Wellington, Narromine, Coonabarabran,
Trangie, Nyngan, Parkes, Forbes and Gilgandra where
possible.
Cost
NALAG is a not for profit
organisation. The NALAG Centre for Loss & Grief Dubbo
provides grief and loss support to all people regardless
of financial circumstances and provides these services
completely FREE of charge. The Blue Healers
Depression Program, the Bereavement Buddy Program and
